Internal / External Communications
How many times has an employee said: "Why did I have to find out about this in the newspaper and not from my boss?" Or this: "Why is our message not being communicated consistently across regions?"

The communications infrastructure of a company can be an effective weapon or your worst nightmare, depending on how it is setup and implemented. Is there a plan in place for an internal communications structure or do you find that you decide haphazardly how to let your most important assets (your people) know what is going on with the company? Nothing affects morale more than not being told about things before they happen and, worse yet, not being told why after they occur.

Inconsistent external communications can also weaken a company. Are your spokespeople delivering the SAME message? Is your message being translated consistently across all regions? Is there a TWO-WAY flow of information, not just a "push out" from corporate HQ?

A company HAS to have a consistent and practical internal and external communications structure to grow effectively. CMM will come into a company and do hands-on employee interviews at all levels, providing objective and unbiased research based on those who know best, the workers. CMM will examine the company’s message and research past directives to regional offices and talk to those directors or country managers in those regions to find out how the corporate message was received and applied. CMM will meet and speak with every one of a company’s official spokespeople and look for inconsistencies in message delivery. This is a heavy, labor-intensive internal and external program aimed at improving a company’s overall communications structure.
